I don’t believe in tagging people with unhelpful labels. If you are struggling with sexual behaviours we need to decide which type of counselling will be most helpful for you.
Try asking yourself the following questions:
How often do you find your sexual behaviour occupies your thoughts? Is it a daily struggle?
Have you made promises to yourself or others to stop the behaviour, but you keep returning to it despite those promises?
Are you continuing with unhealthy sexual behaviours whilst knowing that there is real and imminent danger of harmful consequences (such as losing your family or your job)?
Do you find yourself returning to the behaviour time and time again when you experience low mood, or feel angry, lonely, upset or stressed?
Do you later regret taking part in the sexual behaviour, with little feeling of sexual satisfaction?
If you have answered ‘yes’ to some or all of these questions then you may wish to contact me for a more in-depth assessment and some professional support.
