Bespoke Training and Professional Development
Karen can develop and deliver bespoke short training courses and CPD events for professionals. She is also available to offer consultancy services to business, or to act as a guest speaker for professional presentations.
Karen was formerly a Senior Business Manager for the Royal Mail Training and Development Group; and was instrumental in developing training events to improve the quality of relationships in the workplace and to deliver large-scale organisational change management programmes.
Since qualifying as a Psychotherapist she has gone on to deliver training for a wide variety of organisations on a diverse range of subjects including leadership development, counselling skills in the workplace, parenting skills, working with a sexual focus, understanding and treating sexual addiction, working with partners of sex addicts, working with couples recovering from Sex Addiction etc.
Her audiences have included Charitable Organisations, Medical Professionals, Student Therapists, Experts in Sex Addiction, Schools, and Relate. Karen has taught on the ATSAC Professional Certificate in Sex Addiction and on Counselling Diploma courses, and delivered numerous CPD events for other counsellors and psychotherapists.
Karen has worked for BACP (The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) since 2006. BACP is the UK’s largest professional body for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and their vision is ‘to safeguard the value of human relationships…’ Karen has been working with BACP’s Professional Standards Department for many years promoting and maintaining standards within the profession via BACP’s Accreditation Services. She has acted as a guest speaker for them at several events, and as host for some of their on-line webinars.
