Karen is a well regarded , qualified specialist in Sex and Relationship Therapy and in Sex Addiction Treatment and Partner support.
Before becoming a Therapist Karen was a Senior Business Manager for the RM Training and Development Group, and was instrumental in developing large-scale programmes to improve the quality of relationships in the workplace. Since qualifying as a Therapist she has delivered training for a wide variety of organisations on a diverse range of subjects such as leadership development and counselling skills in the workplace. More recently she has been invited to facilitate workshops in areas such as: parenting skills, working with a sexual focus, understanding and treating sexual addiction, working with Partners of sex addicts, working with couples recovering from Sex Addiction… and many more.
Her audiences have included Charitable Organisations, Medical Professionals, Qualified Counsellors and Psychotherapists, Schools and Relate. Karen has taught on the ATSAC Professional Certificate in Sex Addiction and was a guest speaker at the ATSAC annual conference. Additionally Karen has worked for BACP (The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) since 2006. BACP is the UK’s largest professional body for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and their vision is ‘to safeguard the value of human relationships…’ Karen works with BACP’s Professional Standards Department on a consultancy basis, promoting and maintaining standards within the profession via BACP’s Accreditation Services.
